Obituary
Charles “Chinky” Malone, 90 of Seymour, passed away Thursday, January 5, 2023 in Seymour.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, January 13, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at the Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Russell Roberts officiating. Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Archer Funeral Home.
Chinky was born August 31, 1932 in Seymour to Barney and Hattie Gwinn Malone. He was a 1950 graduate of Seymour High School and a veteran of the U.S. Army Reserves, serving as a military policeman. He married Claudia Harvey on July 26, 1968 in Woodville, Texas. Chinky worked as a seismographer on drilling years most of his life; He also served as a police officer for the City of Seymour, drove a school bus and worked as a crossing guard for the Seymour schools and delivered meals for the Seymour Meals on Wheels. He was preceded in death by his wife, Claudia in 2021.
He is survived by 2 sons, Kenneth Malone of Seymour and Ronald Malone of Bosier City, LA; a daughter, Karen Malone of Wichita Falls; 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
