Obituary
Dara Fran Trainham, 72 of Goree, passed away on Wednesday, August 2, 2023 in Wichita Falls.
Services will be held on Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at 9:00 a.m. at the Goree Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Rogers and Weiman Meinzer officiating. Burial will follow in the Vera Cemetery under the direction of Archer Funeral Home.
Dara was born February 14, 1951 in Knox City to Dolton and Bobby Jo Murphee Gore. She attended Vera and Benjamin schools, marrying Kevin Trainham in Vera in 1973. She managed the Russell Newman Factory and was a Postmaster for the United States Postal Service. She was a member of the Goree Baptist Church. Dara was preceded in death by her parents, Dolton and Bobby Jo Gore; a brother, Joe Wade Gore and a granddaughter, Autumn Breann Allen.
She is survived by her husband, Kevin Trainham of Goree; 2 sons, Kennon and Nicole Allen of Breckenridge and Stony Trainham of Truscott; 5 grandchildren, Madison, Seanna, Dolton, Favor and Nikayla; 3 brothers, Larry Gore, Randall Gore and Rudy Gore and 1 sister, Letha Young.
Visitation will be from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home.
