Doris Leah (Benham) Donnell Holder

Doris Leah Donnell Holder, 101 of Ben Wheeler, Texas, passed away Sunday, June 27, 2021 in Ben Wheeler.

Services will be held on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church with Dr. David Warren officiating.  Burial will be in the Riverview Cemetery under the direction of Archer Funeral Home. 

Doris was born September 10, 1919 in Baylor County to Augustus and Laura Clifton Benham.  She was a graduate of Draughon’s Business College and worked as a telephone operator, retiring in 1981.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church.  Doris married S.R. Donnell in 1939 and Carl Holder in 1984.  She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, 2 brothers, 4 sisters, 2 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. 

Survivors include a son, Stanton and Anita Donnell of Seymour; 4 daughters, Rinda Harris of Ben Wheeler, Sylvia Poteet of Ft. Worth, Viann and Bubba Williams and Merran and Jerry Crews all of Lindale; 15 grandchildren, 52 great grandchildren and 36 great great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home.
