Geneva Kruse Obituary

Geneva Kruse, 76 of Seymour passed away Tuesday, December 7, 2021 in Seymour.

Services will be held on Friday, December 10, 2021 at 10:00 a.m., at the First Methodist Church with Rev. Russell Roberts officiating.  Burial will be in the Riverview Cemetery under the direction of Archer Funeral Home.

Geneva was born November 21, 1945 in Seymour to Hollis and Lois Hutchison Sturgeon.  She was a 1964 graduate of Seymour High School.  She married Don Kruse on May 8, 1964 in Seymour and while her senior class was on their senior trip, Geneva and Don were on their honeymoon.  The couple owned and operated Don Kruse Harvesting until the mid 1970’s.  They then owned and operated Kruse Tractor Parts.  Geneva began what she thought would be a part time job as the office manager at Westview Care Center that lasted for 25 years.  She retired in 2007.  Geneva was a member of the First Methodist Church and later in life was baptized at the Assembly of God Church.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Hollis and Lois Sturgeon and her husband, Don Kruse who passed away on April 29, 1990.

She is survived by 4 sons, Gary Don Kruse and Rhonda of Anson, Marty Lee Kruse and Cynthia of Ft. Worth, Craig Alan Kruse of Denton and Gregg Bradley Kruse of Seymour; a brother, Michael Sturgeon, Sr. of Seymour; a sister, Beth Hrncirik and Rodney of Seymour; 2 sisters-in-law, Merlaine Wornson and Lois Badeaux; 3 nieces, Crystal Latham, Jerica Myers and Jaelyn Redder and 2 nephews, Michael Sturgeon, Jr. and Derek Sturgeon.

Visitation will be from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.
