Gilbert Lee Railsback

Gilbert Railsback, 77 of Seymour, passed away Tuesday, August 10, 2021 in Wichita Falls.

Services will be held on Monday, August 16, 2021 at 10:00 a.m., at the First Baptist Church in Seymour with Dr. David Warren, officiating.  Burial will be in Quanah Memorial Park in Quanah, under the direction of Archer Funeral Home.

Gilbert was born June 22, 1944 in Seymour to Floyd and Hazel Swain Railsback.  He was a 1962 graduate of Seymour High School and received an Associates degree from Texas A&M Texarkana College.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving for 8 ½ years and doing 3 tours in Vietnam.  He was also a veteran of the Army National Guard and worked for the U.S. Air Force Reserves, retiring in 1997.  Gilbert married Janie Medina on September 28, 1985 in Quanah and was a member of the Seymour First Baptist Church.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Hazel Railsback and a brother, Thomas Floyd Railsback. 

He is survived by his wife, Janie Railsback of Seymour; 4 daughters, Kimberly and Eric Hollo of Texarkana, Crystal and Brad Coffelt of Rockwall, Ginger and Jamie Prince of DeKalb and Summer Crouch of Nash; 14 grandchildren, Alex and Collin Gordon, Haylee Garner, Tabatha Tutt, Lacey Tutt, Lillian Lopez, Ethan Lopez, Grayson Coffelt, Brittany Runnels, Lauren Prince, Samantha Prince, Ashley and Tanner Toliver, Tyler Phillips, Autumn Crouch and Winter Crouch; 6 great grandchildren, Evelynn Gordon, Ariana Proctor, Anthony Proctor, Jaxon Toliver, Colt Toliver, Hudson Prince and Baby Gordon due to arrive in February. 

Visitation will be from 5:00 until 6:00 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home.
