John Castro Sanchez

John Castro Sanchez, 68 of Seymour passed away Monday, December 27, 2021 in Seymour.

Memorial services will be held on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at 2:00 p.m., at the First Baptist Church with Eli Harris officiating, under the direction of Archer Funeral Home.

John was born December 4, 1953 in Knox City to Castro and Tommie Saenz Sanchez.  He attended Knox City schools and worked for Knox County in road maintenance for 30 years.  He then went to work for Hertel Farms.  He married Barbara Moore and the couple were together for over 51 years.  John was preceded in death by his parents, Castro and Tommie Sanchez; 8 siblings and 4 grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Sanchez of Seymour; a son, Shawn Sanchez and wife, Sarah of Seymour; 2 daughters, Michele Joyce and husband, John and Cassandra “Nanay” Blakeney all of Seymour; 7 brothers and sisters and 6 grandchildren, Jasmine, Madison, Hannah, Billy, Cody and Barton.
