June LaBelle (Pope) Moss

June LaBelle Moss, 94 of Seymour, passed away Sunday, July 17, 2022 in Seymour.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. in the East Mound Cemetery in Matador with Rev. Chuck Harrison officiating under the direction of Archer Funeral Home, Seymour, Texas.

June was born June 7, 1928 in Cottle County to Henry and Ethel Timmons Pope.  She was a graduate of Matador High School and Draughon’s Business College.  June married N.L. “Bill” Moss in 1948 in Matador.  She worked at the Ford Dealership for many years and retired as a secretary for the Matador ISD.  June was a faithful member of the Matador First Methodist Church where she served on various boards and as church secretary.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Moss in 2005 and a great grandson, Anthony Moss. 

She is survived by 2 sons, Joe Dick and Terry Moss of Janesville, Wisconsin and Glen and Myra Moss of Seymour; 4 grandchildren, Andrea Moss, Stacy Hollfelder, Marsha Shoemaker and Lee Moss and 4 great grandchildren, Jacob, Abby, Kameron and Jacie.

Visitation will be from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home in Seymour.

The family suggests memorials to the First United Methodist Church, 902 Dundee Ave., Matador, Texas 79244.
