Linda Kay (Caraway) Donnell

On Sunday February 11, 2024, our beloved Mother, Sister, and Granny rejoined the love of her life in a heavenly celebration when she passed from this world.  Linda was born to Bill and Margret Caraway in Mobile, AL on March 29, 1954, the youngest of four siblings raised in Decatur, Tx.  She married the love of her life, Gary Donnell, on February 13, 1972, and went on to raise two sons as a devoted mother wife and friend. She was a second mother to countless others not only in her role while managing the local daycare but also in the lives of those she loved.  After the passing of her husband in 2003 Linda found her second calling caring for others when she attended Vernon College to become a nurse.  Working for Hospice of Wichita Falls was one of her greatest joys helping others as they faced their own end of life.

Linda will be deeply missed by the countless people she touched in her life. She was preceded in death by her parents Bill and Margaret Caraway, brother Jim Hileman, brother-in-law Royce Baxley, and husband Gary Donnell. She is survived by her sister Jan Baxley, two sons Jacob Donnell and Jerrell Donnell and wife Jenifer, six grandchildren Destiny Trepanier, David Donnell, McKayla Donnell, McKinzi Donnell, Joseph Trepanier, and Hannah Trepanier and many friends and loved ones.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Calvary Baptist Church on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at 1:30 PM.
