Margie Alvarado Obituary

Margie Wall Alvarado, age 76, passed to the arms of her forever savior on February 6, 2022.

Margie was born November 28, 1945 in Seymour, Texas.  She was a nurse at the Seymour Hospital for many years and had a passion for the job.  If you knew Margie, she had the “gift of gab” and was loved for her sarcastic sense of humor.  Margie retired from nursing as her health declined, due to the effects from a devastating car accident at the age of 24, that took her baby girl, Amy’s life at 8 months old.  Margie suffered for many years and will always be grateful for the medical staff that helped her along the way.

Margie was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Allie Devrow; 2 brothers, Richard “Tink” Devrow and Wayne Devrow and 2 sisters, Donna Belle Hrncirik and Geraldine Brown.

She is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Daniel Alvarado; her daughter, Kim (Kathy) of Abilene and a son, Charlie of Seymour; a brother, Mack Devrow and she was Meme to 2 grandchildren of Abilene, Ethan (Kaitlyn) and Allie.  She was always so proud to brag on her grandchildren to whoever would listen.

The family wishes to express our sincere gratitude and thanks to all of the staff at Seymour Hospital, Hospice of Wichita Falls and Hendrick Hospice of Abilene.  We would also like to thank her niece, Deeann Brady for all of her help in the last few years.

The family requests donations to be made to Seymour Meals on Wheels or the Seymour Hospital Authority, where she was a servant to others for many years.
