Obituary
Paul Michael “Mike” Donnell, 72 of Seymour, passed away on Friday, January 6, 2023 in Seymour.
A Celebration of his Life will be held on Monday, January 16, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Christian Church with Benny Archer officiating under the direction of Archer Funeral Home.
Mike was born June 8, 1950 in Knox City to Porter and Hazel Peacock Donnell. He attended Seymour schools and worked for the Texas Department of Highways and Public Transportation, retiring in 1978 due to health reasons. Mike married Betsy Pope on November 27, 1975. He was a former member of the Seymour Jaycees. Mike helped care for many children over the years, while their parents were at work. He loved to play the guitar and enjoyed wood burning.
He is survived by his wife, Betsy Donnell of Seymour; a son, Jeffrey and Lesley Donnell of Amarillo; 4 grandchildren, Jordan, Reece, Cole and Judson; 3 great grandchildren, Harper, Camden and Emma; a brother, Jim and Adrina Donnell and a sister, Vicki and Ken Cheatham.
The family suggests memorials to the First Christian Church in Seymour.
