Obituary

Shawn Latham, 50 of Seymour, passed away on Thursday, August 10, 2023 in Dallas.

Services will be held on Monday, August 14, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church with Dr. David Warren officiating.  Burial will follow in the Riverview Cemetery under the direction of Archer Funeral Home. 

Shawn was born on December 3, 1972 in Haskell to Larry Latham and Christy Whitten Latham.  He attended Seymour High School.  He worked in the oil field briefly, then spent 25 years working for Greg Marak at Maraks Collision Center.  In 2018, he went to work for Phillip Campbell at PC’s Paint and Body.  Shawn married Crystal Machen on October 30, 2009 in Seymour.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting and traveling in Texas and very few other states, but his life really revolved around the love of his life, his daughter, Landree.  He was preceded in death by his father, Larry Latham.

He is survived by his wife, Crystal Latham of Seymour; his daughter, Landree Latham of Seymour; mother, Christy Dawkins and husband, Joe; step-mother, Pam Latham of Seymour; brother, Brett Latham of Seymour; sister, Lauriann Rhoudes and husband, Jason of Andrews; 2 sisters-in-law, Jerica Myers and husband, Chaz and Jaelyn Redder and husband, Erik and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home.

The family suggests memorials to the Baylor County 4-H or your favorite charity.
