Obituary

William D. Arjes, 73, went to be with his Lord on Monday, June 5, 2023 at his home surrounded by his family.

Services will be held in Mendota, Illinois at a later date. Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Archer Funeral Home, Seymour, Texas.

William was born on January 12, 1950 in Mendota, Illinois to Robert L. and Arlene L. Youssi Arjes. He grew up in Compton, Illinois and was a 1968 graduate of Mendota Township High School. He married Terry L. Engel on July 22, 1972. William had an enourmous heart that he showed towards his family and friends and he was a devoted Christian. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Michael Arjes and a niece, Kristi.

He is survived by his wife, Terry Arjes; 2 sons, Matt (Donna) Arjes and Anthony (Kimberly) Arjes; a daughter, Tammy L. (Rob) Hill; 6 grandsons, Tanner (Shelby) Arjes, Eli Arjes, Aiden ARjes, Braden Hil, Wyatt Arjes and Jensen Arjes; 3 granddaughters, Addison Arjes, Rylee Hill and Sabra Myers; a great grandson, Curran Joah Arjes; a brother, Robert (Dorothy) Arjes a sister, Lori (Greg) Glaser and many nieces and nephews.
